Dear "Followers"
To all who follow Jacob's blog, who carry the burden of our pain because we love Jacob so much... We would give an arm and a leg and even a brain if we could. We will see Jacob through this as we have done in this past year with our strength and support. Jacob is our hero. His will and desire are unparalleled and his tiny face gives us great hope.
Today will be a day to celebrate his accomplishments in the Constraint Therapy Program. As always, we have much to be grateful for. GO JACOB!

Day 24
Jacob's EEG revealed a pattern characteristic
of the Infantile Spasms he experienced at six
months old. He will begin a new course of
drug treatment for the next three weeks and
then will have another EEG to see if the
pattern has been resolved.

Day 13
On his day off from therapy, Jacob visited with his Grammy and his Auntie Jen, Olivia, and Hayden.
After two weeks of therapy, Jacob frequently uses his right arm and hand, although he still tries to use his cast and his feet. He is able to give a high-five and is beginning to wave goodbye with his right hand. Jacob explores with his right hand when he is carried around the house. His greatest frustration continues to be his mobility but he is nearly able to pull himself up to stand. His walker should arrive within the next few weeks and will give him a greater sense of independence as well as the stability to improve his sense of balance.
Jacob is a lovely, special baby.

of a seizure Jacob had last Sunday.

Day 10
Tomorrow morning, Jacob will go to Hasbro
Children's Hospital for a six-hour EEG with
video. We are hoping that this will help to
diagnose the suspected seizure activity that
we have observed over the last few months.
He will resume therapy on Friday and will
"make-up" for tomorrow on the following
Saturday.

his fork with his right hand for an extended
period of time.
At the grocery store, Jacob used his right hand
to turn the wheel of his shopping cart car for
the very first time.
